U-Turn.UK of Which Direction is a comprehensive service aimed specifically to support young people in the community aged from 13 to 17 who are experiencing difficulties, in particular those who are ‘hard to reach’ at risk of offending and those involved in anti social behaviour. We work with young people who fall in the Not in Education, Employment Training (NEET) catergory, as well as those in Pupil Referral Unit s, young people with low of medium substance misuse issues and those who have been in the criminal Justice system and are at risk of re offending.
U-Turn.UK of Which Direction provides a variety of relevant programmes and support for young people and their families in order for them to achieve their full potential. We work closely with young people offering practical support and means to help
themselves, reduce the risk of offending and ultimately live a positive lifestyle. We believe that every young person needs an opportunity to excel and overcome life challenges. With the right support and instilling self belief this is possible to achieve.
Our aims are:-
• To re-engage those not iin education, employment or training back into the community through practical support, guidance and learning new skills.
• To reduce crime, re offending and anti social behaviour.
• To encourage and support young people giving them positive role models, stability and ways of constructively using their leisure time.
• To intervene not just on an individual level, but also with communities and families to strengthen the support network.
Working with U-Turn.UK can enable a young person to ‘turn their life around’ if they are given informed choices.
